Don’t confuse digitising with digital transformation

Don’t confuse digitising with digital transformation when you’re hiring….

I see this countless times with companies.

When you’re looking to hire a new digital leader as part of your transformation journey, it’s very important to be clear that digitising your business is not digital transformation

More technology for example rarely means greater competitive advantage these days since we (broadly) all have access to the same technology

Digital transformation is about unlearning and giving things up – not simply becoming more efficient with an existing process by transferring a set of data from a physical format to a digital one. That’s automating a process to speed up a task. Good business practice – but it’s not digital transformation.

Starting a digital transformation involves bringing in fresh thinking. Leaders who can show evidence of having done it before.

If you’re looking to connect with people who could be instrumental to your digital transformation in the UK or Europe, get in touch.
